How you'll contribute 

A Cath Lab Technician who excels in this role:

  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.

  • Formulates an individualized plan of care, revises plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluates overall plan daily for effectiveness.

  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.

  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.

What we're looking for

  • Licensed by the state as a radiation operator; Registered by ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist; CI or RCIS - preferred

  • Certifications: BLS; ACLS - obtained within 6 months of hire

  • Minimum of one year experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab - preferred

  • Must be able to meet requirements of departmental on call policy.

  • Required critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
