Job description

NWA Pediatrics is seeking a compassionate nurse for PRN hours, including evening clinics (5:00–7:00 PM, 2–3 nights/week) and Saturdays (8:00–11:00 AM, ~2/month).

You’ll provide direct and indirect nursing care to children with urgent, emergent, or routine health needs, working alongside our pediatricians, nurses, and PCAs to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient care.

  • Assist physician; set up for procedures and exams; revising daily schedules; locating lab tests and other reports for the physician to review
  • Contact pharmacy to order new, refill and correct prescriptions; notify patients; document appropriately
  • Notify hospital when admitting patients and send physician's orders
  • Schedule diagnostic tests and procedures; notify patients of test results; schedule follow-up appointments as appropriate
  • Review and administer vaccinations and medications ordered by the physicians 
  • Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow. Return phone calls in a timely manner; answer urgent phone calls as needed

  • Graduation certificate from accredited LPN or RN school of nursing
  • 12 – 18 months related experience and/or training
  • Current State License
  • Current CPR Certification
