Evans Distribution Systems, one of the area's leading logistics providers is looking for experienced Afternoon Forklift Driver for its growing Division in Detroit, MI.
Description
  • Unload inbound shipments safely and move product as needed.
  • Efficiently stack and store merchandise in the appropriate area
  • Check or count freight for accuracy and/or damage.
  • Prepare necessary paperwork and submit it to operations manager.
  • Frequent & repetitive lifting using both hands/arms for items weighing.
  • The Lifting frequency may be more than 100 repetitions per-shift.
  • Frequent bending and twisting at waist/knees/neck while off-loading
  • Help maintain cleanliness of warehouse and building grounds.
  • Handle customer products with integrity
  • Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Assist in warehousing operations as needed, and all other miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor.
  • Maintain the facility's equipment and materials with integrity in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • Responsible for awareness and compliance with warehouse work rules and company policies
  • Lift using proper safety methods provided by the company.
Requirements
  • High school degree/GED
  • 3 years' experience driving a Forklift is a must.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing (including background check and drug test)
Details & Location
  • Position is located on the Eastside of Detroit, MI.
  • Shift available 7am to 330pm flexible to work overtime and weekends.
  • Starting wage: $16.00/hour
