Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides integrated prescriber services to support individuals receiving behavioral health, substance use, and primary care services at Chestnut Health Systems in Granite City, Illinois.

We provide fully integrated care for all our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers. The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this part-time as-needed position is between $46.27 - $52.88 annual salary.

Responsibilities
  • Provide integrated prescriber services in accordance with the Nurse Practitioner Collaborative Agreement, State of Illinois and/or Missouri regulations, and Chestnut policies and procedures.
  • Complete required documentation and data entry for client/patient evaluations, follow-ups, and progress notes in accordance with agency standards, including use of recovery-oriented language and telehealth when assigned.
  • Maintain a minimum level of service as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Model and reinforce evidence-based practices and recovery philosophy, including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health and wellness, spirituality/connectedness, and harm reduction.
  • Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, including attending meetings, client/patient staffings, and program development activities.
  • Support team operations by providing coverage, backup, and precepting responsibilities when assigned.
  • Promote positive relationships within the community and Chestnut to sustain favorable program reputations.
  • Uphold Chestnut's standards for customer service excellence.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all organizational, financial, and consumer information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or negotiated with the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (R.N.) with a Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Illinois; Missouri licensure preferred.
  • License in good standing with the ability to bill for evaluating and prescribing medications.
  • Fully executed Collaborative Agreement with a Chestnut-approved prescriber.
  • Previous experience prescribing medications preferred.
  • Psychiatric certification preferred if assigned to psychiatric evaluations.
  • Active buprenorphine waiver preferred or willingness to obtain.
