Job Summary:
Tryfacta is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APN) for our client in Trenton, NJ 08628. This is a temporary contract assignment. If you meet the qualifications listed below and are interested, please Apply Now!
Position Title: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APN)
Location: 1609 Stuyvesant Ave, Trenton, NJ 08628, United States
Duration: Temp to Perm
Work Schedule: Full-time; M-F 8:00-4:00 or 8:30-4:30 (1 hour lunch) or 8:30 -4 pm (30-minute lunch)
Orientation Details: Hospital orientation occurs monthly. Usually, the first week of the month, unless there is a holiday and then the schedule is adjusted. The general orientation lasts 4 days.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Patients are seen weekly and more often as needed on the general units.
Rounds are daily on the admission and intensive treatment units.
PMHNPs will share the caseload with the psychiatrist and work collaboratively.
PMHNPs will have a collaboration agreement with staff psychiatrists.
They will NOT be responsible for admissions, court appearances, or seclusions/restraints.
PMHNP will round on patients and complete progress notes and discharge summaries so that the psychiatrists have the bandwidth to take on more court-ordered evaluations
Typical Cases: State Hospital Forensic Patients
Ages seen: Adults
Each unit has 25 patients (seen weekly), however additional patients may be assigned as needed, dependent upon staffing needs. There is no specific unit. Unit assignments change occasionally, and providers do cross-coverage.
To be considered for this position, you should have: [ Skills, Education, or Experience]
a. Have a current unrestricted license/certification as an Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, with specialization in Psychiatry; and
b. Be willing to sign a collaborative agreement specifying that it will work with a licensed Psychiatrist to perform the duties outlined in the APRN license/certification.
