International Development Group (IDG) works to reduce poverty around the world through sustainable, broad-based economic development. For 30 years, IDG has partnered with USAID and other international donors in more than 80 countries. Our areas of expertise include economic governance, private sector development, international trade, public financial management, monitoring, evaluation, and learning.

Job Description

IDG is seeking experienced professionals for independent evaluation work in West Africa.
We are currently soliciting CVs from qualified individuals with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Electricity sector governance and utility performance assessment in West Africa
  • ICT sector governance and regulatory framework evaluation in West Africa
  • Mixed-method and qualitative evaluation methodologies
  • Performance evaluation of policy and institutional reform programs
Project Context: Evaluation work will support donor-funded programs in The Gambia and Togo covering power sector governance and ICT sector reforms.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience conducting evaluations or assessments in energy and/or ICT sectors in West Africa
  • Strong qualitative research skills including key informant interviews and stakeholder engagement
  • Professional proficiency in English required; French proficiency highly valued
  • Experience working with MCC donor-funded programs
  • Master's degree or higher in the relevant field preferred
