Year-round Live-out House Manager

Location: Amagansett, NY
Schedule:9am - 5pm Monday - Friday with weekend flexibility in the summer months
Compensation: $140,000$150,000 annually, DOE
Benefits: Health Insurance, 401(k)

A private family is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and discreet House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their beautifully maintained 10,000-square-foot residence in Amagansett.

The family's primary residence is in California, and the home is occupied primarily during the summer months and select visits throughout the year. This is a full-time, year-round position responsible for ensuring the property is impeccably maintained and always ready for the family's arrival.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all daily operations of the residence year-round.
  • Supervise and manage the full-time Housekeeper, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and oversee vendors, contractors, and service providers, including maintenance, repairs, landscaping, pool service, and other household services.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and proactively identify maintenance needs.
  • Ensure all household systems and equipment are functioning properly and arrange preventative maintenance as needed.
  • Prepare the residence before family arrivals and oversee the home's transition following departures.
  • Maintain household inventories and coordinate ordering of supplies as needed.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for the family, providing regular updates on the property's condition and ongoing projects.
  • Maintain complete discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a House Manager, Estate Manager, or in a similar role within a luxury private residence.
  • Strong leadership and staff management experience.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple vendors and projects simultaneously.
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and anticipate the needs of the household.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
