Corporate Security Officer (Unarmed)
Atherton, CA 94027 · Full time and part time openings · $29.00 per hour
Veterans Covert Protection Group (VCPG) is hiring Unarmed Corporate Security Officers for a private campus in Atherton, CA.

Shifts Available:
Full time, 32 hours per week:
  • Sunday through Wednesday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
  • Sunday through Wednesday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
  • Sunday through Wednesday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Part time, 24 hours per week, with overtime and coverage shifts available:
  • Thursday through Saturday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
  • Thursday through Saturday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
  • Thursday through Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

About VCPG
VCPG is a veteran owned California security company (PPO No. 120668) providing executive protection, corporate security, campus security, residential security, and special event security. Our officers work in business attire rather than uniform, matched to the environment of the site.

Mandatory Requirements:
  • Residence within a 30 minute drive of Atherton for rapid response.
  • Minimum five years of professional security experience. Corporate, executive protection, or private campus experience preferred.
  • Active California BSIS Guard Card and current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification prior to hire.
  • Ability to pass a full background investigation, California Live Scan fingerprinting, and a multipanel drug screen.

Core Duties:
  • Patrol and access control. Conduct perimeter and facility rounds, manage visitors, verify badges, and monitor security systems.
  • Emergency response. Stay composed under pressure and follow post orders and site protocols precisely.
  • Documentation. Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs using digital reporting software, email, and a smartphone.
  • Availability. Dependable and punctual, with flexibility for overtime, weekends, holidays, and schedule changes.

Physical Requirements:
  • Stand and walk for most of an eight hour shift, climb stairs regularly, and occasionally lift or carry up to 35 pounds.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required. Coursework in criminal justice or security administration is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, and proven discretion with sensitive information.
  • Polished appearance, a service focused approach, and sound conflict resolution skills.
  • English and Spanish fluency is highly valued.
