Account Manager, Private Client Group– Job Description

Position Summary

The Account Manager supports the Private Client Group by delivering high-quality operational and service support in partnership with Account Executives. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and consistency across client accounts while maintaining strong internal processes and select client interactions. The position is operational and hands-on, contributing directly to client service excellence and supporting team and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Leadership & Ownership

·       Owns day-to-day management of assigned accounts and associated operational workflows.

·       Acts as a subject matter support resource for internal processes and account handling.

·       Partners with Account Executives and team members to align service delivery with client needs.

Hands-On Execution & Delivery

·       Processes endorsements, renewals, and carrier transactions with high accuracy.

·       Maintains agency management systems and ensures data integrity.

·       Prepares renewal applications and conducts pre-renewal reviews or account audits.

·       Supports invoicing processes including agency-billed and carrier-billed transactions.

Reporting, Quality & Operational Support

·       Reviews documentation thoroughly and documents all account activity per standards.

·       Monitors downloads and data flows to ensure system accuracy.

·       Resolves discrepancies with carriers and supports underwriting processes.

·       Maintains complete and accurate client and policy records.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Integration

·       Collaborates with internal teams and carrier partners to ensure seamless service delivery.

·       Communicates with underwriters to resolve issues and support appropriate outcomes.

·       Supports billing inquiries, client requests, and administrative needs.

·       Provides backup support to team members as needed.

Growth, Change & Special Initiatives

·       Supports remarketing efforts and comparative rating initiatives.

·       Participates in special projects and process enhancements.

·       Assists in scaling operations through consistent execution and support.

Process Improvement & Best Practices

·       Identifies opportunities to improve workflows and efficiency.

·       Maintains confidentiality of client and company information.

·       Leverages systems and tools effectively to enhance service delivery.

Accountability

·       Delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality account service outcomes.

·       Maintaining data integrity and operational consistency across systems.

·       Supporting effective client service and team collaboration.

·       Managing workload priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·       Demonstrating ownership, professionalism, and sound judgment.

Qualifications

Required

·       1+ year of experience in customer service or similar role within insurance, risk management, or financial services.

·       Property & Casualty license or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe.

·       Strong technical and computer skills.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Preferred

·       Prior experience in a property & casualty insurance environment.

·       Associate’s degree or relevant coursework.
