Position Overview:
As an NVH Engineer for the NVH & Structures team, you will support NVH and dynamic test activities in support of new and current product development. In this role, you will be a key influencer in shaping the NVH attributes and durability performance of our marine propulsion systems, ensuring every product delivers a superior customer experience.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop and lead the execution of test plans to ensure product designs will meet program targets and timelines
  • Apply knowledge of instrumentation, data acquisition, and digital signal processing techniques to solve problems
  • Collaborate with cross-discipline engineering teams early in the development cycle to proactively influence designs for NVH performance
  • Work with a team of experienced engineers and technicians to execute tests in field and laboratory environments
  • Write technical reports to document results and recommend design improvement opportunities
  • Author test procedures and/or work instructions for standardized NVH & dynamic test processes

Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.
Required Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in NVH and dynamics testing
  • Experience with NVH data acquisition hardware and analysis software packages (e.g. Siemens Simcenter Test.Lab, HEAD acoustics ArtemiS, VI-Grade NVH Simulator, etc).
  • Experience with NVH and dynamic test instrumentation (e.g. microphones, accelerometers, strain gages, etc)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • M.S. in an engineering discipline with a focus in NVH or Acoustics
  • Experience with environmental test methodologies
  • Familiarity with CAE simulation tools for NVH performance prediction
  • Working knowledge of engines and marine propulsion systems
  • Familiarity with the use and operation of marine vessels

The anticipated pay range for this position is $73,600 - $117,900 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus program. At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.
