Job Title: Lead Operator โ€“ Carton Manufacturing

About Us: WLE Print Solutions is a fast-paced, small-batch print and packaging shop specializing in folding cartons for the cannabis industry. We primarily produce custom, batch-specific packaging for our own product lines, as well as a few trusted partners. Our focus is on speed, accuracy, and adaptability-meeting tight deadlines with high-quality cartons tailored for extracts, vape cartridges, joints, and more. We value craftsmanship, problem-solving, and a hands-on approach to every project.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Lead to run our carton manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in running a digital press, die cutting machine, and carton folder gluer. This role requires exceptional technical expertise, problem solving skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Schedule: Mon-Thurs 7:15am - 5:45pm

Compensation: This position offers a wage range of $20โ€“$32 per hour, depending on experience. For the right candidate, we are also open to considering a trainee position with growth potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the carton manufacturing operation, ensuring efficient production processes and adherence to quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain the digital press, die cutting machine, and carton folder gluer.
  • Monitor and optimize production schedules to meet customer demands and minimize downtime.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to prevent and resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and achieve production goals.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in running a digital press, die cutting machine, and carton folder gluer or similar machinery.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to identify and resolve problems in production to keep machines operating.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in a carton manufacturing or packaging industry.
