Job description

SUMMARY: Generates sales revenue for Engle Printing & Publishing Co, Inc.โ€™s Community Newspaper division. The advertising consultant position is an integral part of our sales operation and includes direct interaction of our local market, both in print and digitally. Advertising consultants are expected to maintain and grow existing relationships.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and customer service.
  • Ability to maintain existing relationships with accounts and continue to work with them to pitch new advertising opportunities.
  • Ability to prospect, research and make outbound cold calls.
  • Ability to create, pitch and close on proposals to new and existing customers.
  • Manage display advertising campaigns across all platforms print and digital.
  • Have moderate understanding of our digital marketing products and solutions.
  • Able and willing to travel to meet clients/potential clients at their place of business.
  • Suggest new products/audiences (as needed) to help maintain or grow advertiser spend with portfolio of products
  • Strong networking and community involvement skills.
  • Highly motivated, self-starting individual with initiative and drive to succeed.


Job Requirements

Experience Two to three yearsโ€™ experience in sales or marketing; preferably media sales

Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel and Outlook. Familiarity with a CRM system.
  • Able to manage multiple projects
