Vista Reno is looking for talented, fun, and energetic DigitalPrinter (Press Operator) to join our world class manufacturing plant in Reno, NV!

Working hours will be Friday-Sunday 6:00an-6:30pm

Hourly rate for this position: $31.39 for the first 90 days and $33.61thereafter

Must have industrial printing presses experience ** required -Knowledge of running/operating industrial printing presses;basic understanding and knowledge of color management is a plus;andstrong attention to details

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is a fully skilled, technical printing position which includes manual and automatic set up of digital printing presses and other types of finishing equipment for various printed products. They will perform equipment/process preparation, producing customer orders achieving quality standards and performance metrics, quality checks, troubleshooting, and press operator-specific maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and expectations including the ability to identify any critical safety elements, bypasses, interlocks and emergency stops
  • Demonstrate knowledge of various substrates used to print products including proper storage, labelling, markings, troubleshooting
  • Perform daily FOA tasks prior to and post printing; and ensure the proper use and management of all printing supplies, consumables
  • Identify the job details and specifications in assigning substrate, placements with equipment interface print-finish properties
  • Set up equipment (print and coat) to a production-ready status and complete required shutdown/EOS process steps
  • A complete understanding of gang and process elements influences on the make-ready process and ability to follow the STW expectation in sequencing, batching and WIP control
  • Apply OEM training to perform at the highest level and meet metrics associated with print adherence, reprints, efficiency, non-prod
  • Consistently perform standard in-process checks during production and identify CTQ failures and primary causes through the print quality assist interface. Follow SCW (Stop Call Wait) process if product quality is out of tolerance
  • Perform autonomous maintenance and support proactive and master maintenance plans to ensure the maximum availability of the line
  • Identify and manage the press events influencing operational effectiveness and document them in related (OEE, Webshell) interfaces
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and support the shared maintenance activity. Follow SCW (Stop Call Wait) process when availability loss is > 20 mins during initial troubleshooting
  • Immediately notify Shift/Area Leadership and/or Management of safety incidents including, but not limited to building/racking damage, spills, and/or injuries
  • Ensure daily on-time arrival; adherence to lunch/break schedules; and work overtime as needed
  • Ability to perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the equipment and surrounding area at all times; conduct daily 5S activities

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete all personal training requirements; support the training of press operators, production operators as assigned and as experience permits
  • Other duties as assigned by Shift/Area leadership/Management

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The ability to perform normal sitting and standing activities
  • The ability to stand, lift, push, and pull for long periods of time (up to 12 hours/day)
  • The ability to push, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs. independently, and lift up to 50 lbs. using a team lift
  • The ability to read basic and comprehensive documents written in English, write in complete English sentences, and speak English fluently
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn quickly
  • Strong communication skills having the ability to verbalize challenges, roadblocks, delays

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent; college degree/credits a plus
  • A team player who is reliable, eager to learn, train and progress within the organization
  • Strong dedication to teamwork, customer experience, safety, quality, and has behaviors that are conducive to a positive work environment

Compensation:

Hourly rate for this position: $31.39 for the first 90 days and $33.61thereafter
