This position is part of the Government Integrated Print Services, Government Publishing Office in Washington,Qualifications:To qualify for the position, you must meet the following requirements: Applicants must have experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to independently perform the duties typically required of a Supervisory Printing Plant Worker.
Applicants must meet the following Screen-Out element, #73 Ability to lead or supervise to be considered for this position. Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element, which usually appears as question 1 in the online questionnaire. If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT ELEMENT below is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. The screen-out element for this position is:
Job Element #73, Ability to lead and supervise, encompasses the following knowledge and ability: The following are typical duties of the position:
  • Supervising, leading, or directing employees engaged in motor vehicle operations, transportation, delivery, warehouse, or material-handling activities.
  • Planning, assigning, and reviewing the work of Motor Vehicle Operators, Forklift Operators, or similar employees to ensure timely completion of transportation and delivery requirements. Coordinating daily delivery schedules, routes, vehicle assignments, and workload priorities.
  • Ensuring compliance with motor vehicle safety requirements, cargo security procedures, CDL regulations, and agency operating policies.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
