Sir Speedy Lyndhurst is a growing commercial print and sign company looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Production Technician to join our team.

This is a hands-on position where no two days are the same. One day you may be producing business cards, brochures, and presentation books, while the next you're creating banners, signs, decals, mounting graphics, laminating displays, or helping prepare customer orders for delivery.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in producing quality work, and wants to grow with a company that values teamwork and customer service.

Position Summary

The Production Technician is responsible for producing high-quality printed and sign products while ensuring every order meets our quality standards and customer expectations. This role includes operating production equipment, performing finishing work, assisting with deliveries, maintaining equipment, and supporting the overall production workflow.

As our company continues to grow, there will be opportunities to expand your skills, learn new equipment, and take on additional responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

Printing & Production

  • Operate digital printing and production equipment.
  • Produce business cards, brochures, booklets, flyers, postcards, envelopes, presentation materials, labels, and other printed products.
  • Produce signage including banners, coroplast signs, foam board, PVC signs, mounted graphics, decals, window graphics, and other display products.
  • Set up jobs according to work orders and customer specifications.
  • Monitor print quality throughout production.
  • Perform color adjustments and quality checks.
  • Complete jobs accurately while meeting production deadlines.

Finishing

  • Cutting
  • Folding
  • Laminating
  • Coil binding
  • Perfect binding
  • Padding
  • Mounting graphics
  • Packaging completed orders
  • Preparing shipments

Quality Control

  • Review proofs and finished products for accuracy.
  • Inspect jobs for color consistency, trimming accuracy, finishing quality, and overall appearance.
  • Ensure customer expectations are met before jobs leave the building.

Customer Support

Occasionally assist with:

  • Greeting customers
  • Loading customer vehicles
  • Delivering completed orders
  • Picking up materials from vendors
  • Answering production-related questions

Equipment & Shop Maintenance

  • Perform routine equipment cleaning and maintenance.
  • Report equipment issues promptly.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Assist with inventory of paper, ink, toner, laminates, vinyl, and production supplies.

Workflow & Teamwork

  • Work closely with customer service and sales staff.
  • Prioritize multiple jobs throughout the day.
  • Update job statuses in PrintSmith, Fiery, or other production software.
  • Help ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
  • Cross-train in additional production and signage processes as needed.

Qualifications

Preferred

  • Experience in commercial printing, sign production, graphics, or manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
