Job description

We're looking for a hands-on 3D Printing Lead to own our large-format additive manufacturing operation. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys operating cutting-edge equipment, solving technical challenges, and building reliable production processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented maker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, ensuring consistent quality, efficiency, and reliability across all projects.
What You'll Do:
  • Own the operation of our CEAD large-format additive manufacturing system and fleet of Bambu Lab printers.

  • Set up and monitor print jobs, adjusting machine parameters as needed

  • Perform machine calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs

  • Remove support material, clean, finish, and inspect printed parts

  • Manage filament, pellets, consumables, and spare parts inventory

  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, CNC, and Composite teams to support production

  • Assist with prototyping, tooling, fixtures, molds, and production parts

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years operating industrial or professional 3D printing equipment

  • Experience operating Bambu Lab, CEAD, or similar equipment

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues

  • Experience performing preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Comfortable working independently while managing multiple print jobs simultaneously

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and spend extended periods standing or moving throughout the production floor

Bonus Points:
  • Experience with large-format additive manufacturing or industrial FDM systems preferred

  • Experience working in startup or high-mix, low-volume manufacturing experience

  • Experience reading engineering drawings and CAD models

$90,000 - $120,000 a year
Final compensation is based on your experience, skills, and what you bring to the table.
