Job description

North Carolina DOT seeks Print Center Assistant who will be responsible for receiving, processing and delivering large scale printing requests for in a large corporate environment.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate digital and color print equipment for document production.
  • Use finishing equipment such as laminators, paper cutters, and inserters.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting and maintenance of office equipment.
  • Monitor job queues, perform quality checks, and log/report production activities.
  • Assist with file preparation, scanning, archiving, and electronic file management.
  • Interact professionally with clients and end-users; provide support and escalate issues as needed.
  • Maintain inventory levels and assist in ordering office/production supplies.
  • Participate in workflow optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Load Paper of various weights based on print document requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate and maintain various print and mail equipment.
  • Clear communication skills and a customer service mindset.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
Education and Experience:
