Description
The YMCA is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable 3D Printing Instructor to lead and inspire individuals of all ages in learning about 3D printing technology. The instructor will provide engaging, hands-on lessons that introduce participants to the world of 3D design, modeling, and printing, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills. This role involves working with individuals and groups, teaching various 3D printing techniques, and guiding participants through the design process.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and teach 3D printing classes for diverse age groups, including youth, teens, and adults.
  • Provide instruction on 3D design software (e.g., TinkerCAD, Fusion 360, SketchUp) and 3D printing techniques.
  • Guide participants through the process of creating their own 3D models and printing them.
  • Ensure the safe and proper operation of 3D printers and related equipment.
  • Assist students in troubleshooting design or printing issues and provide feedback to improve their skills.
  • Maintain and organize 3D printers, tools, and supplies.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and hands-on learning.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to participants as needed.
