Card Printer Maintenance TechniciansAbout Blue Rose Consulting Group

Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is a certified HUBZone and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business supporting Federal customers with mission-focused technology, professional services, and operational support. We are building a team for the anticipated Department of State Global Mission Operations Support (GMOS) effort supporting the Bureau of Diplomatic Technology, Enterprise Applications Directorate, Office of Consular Systems and Technology.

About the Role

Provide scheduled preventive maintenance and responsive onsite remedial maintenance for critical passport card printers at domestic Department of State locations. This position supports the Department of State Consular Affairs global information technology environment, which includes domestic and overseas facilities, on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms, applications, databases, and enterprise support services. This is a contingent position based on contract award and final customer requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Perform onsite preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, inspection, calibration, adjustment, refurbishment, and replacement of components in accordance with OEM specifications.

• Respond to remedial maintenance requests, document a mitigation strategy within required response timeframes, and restore equipment to service within established SLAs.

• Diagnose hardware, software, configuration, security-patch, and consumable issues affecting low-volume and high-volume card printers.

• Maintain accurate Government-owned maintenance records, ticket documentation, performance metrics, cost data, schedules, and repair outcomes.

• Maintain inventories of spare parts, replacement components, tools, supplies, and consumables and coordinate expedited shipment of critical parts.

• Coordinate site access, maintenance windows, OEM support, and approval for non-OEM components with Government stakeholders.

• Travel to passport agencies, centers, and test facilities nationwide, including support outside normal business hours during peak production periods.

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years of experience maintaining high-volume card printers, production printers, or comparable specialized electromechanical equipment.

• Ability to perform preventive and remedial maintenance in accordance with OEM specifications.

• Experience diagnosing hardware, software, calibration, component, and consumable issues.

• Strong documentation, inventory-control, and customer-service skills.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently to domestic locations.

• Active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HID Fargo or equivalent card-printing technology.

• OEM maintenance certification or electronics/mechanical repair training.

• Experience supporting passport production, Federal facilities, or geographically dispersed field locations.
