    JW Pepper distribution center is hiring to fill several positions in print services, full-time, 40 hours a week, Monday thru Friday. All applicants must be flexible to accommodate seasonal overtime, which includes some evening and Saturday hours. All applicants must adhere to a strict attendance policy. Starting wage $17.00 an hour. Applicants must successfully pass all pre-hire screenings, including background checks and drug tests.

    Job Description

    The print services position is responsible for providing quality printed materials for customers that require Print-On-Demand music, and any other professionally printed items. Responsible for keeping machines running by clearing jams, adding new paper stock, alerting print operators of situations they cannot rectify. Collect and gather all printed materials and match with job tickets. Monitor the print quality and ensure all components of a product are present before assembly. In an effort, to provide the highest level of customer service, all warehouse associates will be cross trained to be proficient in other basic warehouse functions, such as inventory maintenance, order fulfillment and quality control.

    Responsibilities

    • Machine operation, maintenance, calibration, minor repairs on all work related equipment
    • Loading, running and unloading print jobs while overseeing and guiding the print process
    • Adjust machine settings for different job requirements, including paper size
    • Check printed material for clarity, accuracy, quality, finishing and other production factors
    • Monitor supply materials such as paper, toner, ink, staples to maintain supplies during equipment operation
    • Pack and label product and boxes to prepare for shipment
    • Ensure timely completion of all work orders
    • Train others in machine operations
    • Maintains cleanliness of work area
    • Follows all safety protocols and guidelines
    • Follow company policies as outlined in the employee handbook

    Requirements

    • General knowledge of windows operation
    • Schedule flexibility to accommodate seasonal overtime requirements including weekend work
    • Technical and mechanical knowledge – ability to trouble shoot
    • Attention to detail and precision
    • Mathematical skills needed, including the use of a tape measure
    • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
    • Ability to work under pressure with strong motivation and a sense of urgency
    • Physical strength – Must be able to lift 30+ lbs frequently
    • Physical stamina – Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; Must be capable of twisting, stooping, squatting, bending and reaching above shoulder level on a frequent basis
    • Must be able to operate an RF scanner gun.
    • Must be able to accomplish multiple tasks with minimal supervision
