Job description

Position Summary:

This position has direct reporting responsibility to the plant manager and is responsibility for managing production supervisors and has responsibility for all daily production activities in the hiring, leading and support of employees in a manufacturing environment. Responsible for staffing of labor, ensuring all KPI’s are identified and met for all manufacturing shifts. Knowledge of manufacturing operations and equipment necessary. Responsible for employee Safety, Quality and Productivity of assigned operations.

Essential Position Requirements (include but are not limited to):

  • SAFETY FIRST – Every employee of Cellofoam North America Inc. must demonstrate a strong commitment to following all safety standards, procedures, and practices to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all Safety policies and procedures are in place and being followed
  • Supports the site leadership team to including the assigning of job duties, ensuring KPI’s are met and recorded daily. Supporting and ensuring product being produced meets Cellofoam Quality specifications and requirements. The completion of daily production reports and shift paperwork as required.
  • General understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
  • Responsible for verifying all manufacturing production policies and procedures are met and tracked daily
  • Review machine data and KPI’s to ensure optimal efficiency and output are met
  • Responsible for employee development – ensuring new employee on-boarding and employee performance reviews are completed
  • Responsible to attend and support daily production meeting
  • Responsible for the plants master production schedule (open order scheduling and planning)
  • Responsible to ensure the plant / site is maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Coaching, developing, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Perform other production duties as requested by supervisor.
  • Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve issues.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere with a culture of respect for others.
  • Uses appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding plant or employee concerns.
  • Maintain a working knowledge and is in full compliance with corporate standards for business conduct and Federal anti-trust laws.

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years prior experience in manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and understand CAD and blueprints preferred
