Job description

Production Specialist, Kids & Little Kids

Provide print production support for Kids and Little Kids publications, ensuring pages are accurate, complete, and productionโ€‘ready. Partner with Editorial and Design teams to manage assets, corrections, proofing, and final release activities.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review pages for production, proofing, and release.
  • Coordinate asset placement, including illustrations and replacement files.
  • Implement and track corrections through proof cycles.
  • Perform quality control checks on layouts and production files.
  • Collaborate with editors and designers to resolve production issues.
  • Monitor schedules, approvals, and production milestones.
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of print production, publishing, or related experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fastโ€‘paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of print production, proofing, and prepress workflows.

Compensation

The hiring range for this position in Washington, D.C. is $79,400 to $106,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidateโ€™s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or longโ€‘term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
