Overview:

BioPharm is looking for a qualified individual to fill the position of Associate Medical Editor. The position will be a hybrid role for the initial 3 month training period, with a requirement to work from our New Hope office Tuesday-Thursday, with Monday and Friday being remote days. After the training period, the position can transition to fully remote if desired. The candidate should have some editorial experience whether professionally or through coursework. An Associate Medical Editor is responsible for ensuring that pharmaceutical brand and marketing campaigns maintain a high level of quality regarding content, organization, clarity, accuracy, format, style, and consistency. The candidate should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and learn skills associated with copyediting, fact-checking, proofreading, styling, and layout review.

Must HaveResponsibilities
  • Copyedit and fact check materials to ensure consistency and conformance with established grammar, punctuation, and spelling rules and adherence to AMA, client, and house style guidelines
  • Proofread layout materials to ensure that they match approved copy exactly and that the format, organization, alignment, and spacing of copy and graphics are consistent
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure an overall high level of quality regarding content, organization, clarity, accuracy, format, style, and consistency; meet established timelines
  • Edit the following types of materials: print newsletters, emails, websites, banner ads, videos
  • Identify copyrighted material that requires permission for reproduction; process permission request when required
  • Attend client status, legal/medical/regulatory reviews, and other job-related meetings
  • Incorporate client changes and collaborate with writers and other team members to address legal/medical/regulatory review feedback
  • Create and maintain brand style guides

  • Strong skills in time management, prioritizing, organizing, researching, and problem solving, with attention to detail and ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Competence with standard software: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; Adobe Acrobat
