Scheduling Coordinator

As a Scheduler in the Surgery department, you will act as a principle coordinator of communication with physicians, their offices, and hospital staff. You will schedule cases for surgical services to ensure efficient progression of scheduled cases. You will answer phones, organize and prepare the surgery schedule for the next day, and complete other assigned clerical duties.

Job Requirements

  • Proficiency in medical terminology
  • Previous experience as a Surgical Technician – preferred
  • Previous surgical scheduling experience – preferred

Education

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent

Licenses and Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – preferred
