Job Description:

HPE Networking is the enterprise networking division of HPE. As a Solution Technical Marketing Engineer (TME), you will develop deep knowledge within a specific solution domain while providing broad expertise across all of our networking solutions. You will support product definition and design, technical sales, technical enablement of field and partner resources, and creation of technical content explaining how to assemble end-to-end solutions using HPE Networking products. This is an expert level role for a network engineer passionate about sharing that expertise through a variety of communication methods. Candidates will be evaluated both on technical expertise and ability to communicate about complex technical topics.

Responsibilities
  • You will create solutions collateral that can be leveraged by our field, partners, and customers.
  • The candidate must be able to create content including written, presentation, and video form.
  • The topics will range from detailed technology implementation procedures to higher level architecture and design content.
  • You will analyze and understand HPE Networking solutions that span across multiple product categories.
  • The candidate must have the technical capabilities to understand the underlying technologies and architectures that are used in various enterprise networking solutions.
  • Hands on experience in configuring network infrastructure is a must.
  • Experience in campus switch/route, WLAN & RF, network security, and SD-WAN are all required.
  • You will collaborate with Product Line Management (PLM), peer TMEs, and the sales organizations to coordinate efforts, jointly identify solution messaging, and create customer solution guidance.
  • The candidate must have a proven track record of working across multiple organizations and communicating clearly.
  • You will present technical information to customers, partners, and field organizations.
  • The candidate must have experience in presenting to sales organizations, partners, and customers.
  • In-person small group, in-person large group, and webinar presenting skills are required.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar education with experience is required.
  • 10-15 years of enterprise networking industry experience is required.
  • Experience in sales organizations is required.
  • Experience in a technical marketing organization preferred.
  • Experience with HPE Networking products is strongly preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Network and security engineering expertise.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to read and analyze complex engineering documents such as product requirements and test plans.
  • Experience building solution models in a lab environment and evaluating against functional or performance criteria.
  • History of innovation with examples of developing new solutions, methods, or tools for working with network infrastructure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • This role involves long‑form writing, video voice over, and live presentations on stage and virtual.

The expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. – United States of America: Annual Salary USD 160,000 - 303,000 in Colorado // 172,000 - 349,000 in California & NewYork // 152,000 - 349,000 in Florida & Texas The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered.
