THE ROLE

We are seeking a Structural Engineer who can guide building projects from concept through completion. This role blends technical design expertise with project leadership and client management. You'll bring a solid background in structural engineering—covering steel, concrete, wood, and masonry systems—along with experience evaluating existing buildings, performing renovations, and working on seismic upgrade projects. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, the ability to mentor early-career engineers, and the desire to build trusted, long-term client partnerships. A Professional Engineering (PE) licensure is required; a Master's degree or Structural Engineering (SE) license is a plus.

These responsibilities include:

  • Lead structural engineering projects through all phases—from early planning to final closeout.
  • Collaborate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other design disciplines to align structural solutions with overall project requirements.
  • Direct and coordinate the creation of engineering calculations, analyses, and construction documents.
  • Support proposal development by preparing scopes, fees, and contract documents.
  • Forecast workflow, and plan schedules for the project team.
  • Work closely with engineers and BIM Designers to refine design details and ensure high-quality construction document production.
  • Conduct or oversee site visits, construction observations, and progress reporting.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals during construction and provide timely engineering responses.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients and nurture strong, lasting professional relationships.

YOUR STRENGTHS
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent ABET-accredited engineering program
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred
  • Professional Engineering licensure required (PE)
  • Structural Engineering (SE) professional licensure preferred
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in civil or architectural structural design work
  • Proficient with engineering software such as REVIT/BIM or RISA, or similar
