Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Principal Product Designer to own how validated product opportunities are translated into compelling user experiences. This role leads solution shaping through rapid prototyping, interaction design, and product thinking, while evolving the experience foundations that allow those solutions to scale across the organisation (Compass platform).
Key Responsibilities
  • Translate validated opportunities into product experiences; explore multiple solution directions before converging
  • Define future-state workflows and interaction models aligned to long-term vision
  • Prototype at the right fidelity to improve product decisions - not just communicate designs
  • Use AI to accelerate concept exploration and iteration
  • Validate concepts with users and stakeholders before engineering investment
  • Evolve reusable interaction patterns, experience principles, and visual language
  • Grow and maintain the experience system from proven patterns
  • Improve Design-Engineering collaboration and recommend workflow improvements
  • Coach designers and elevate product design practices across the team
Required Skills
  • Senior-level product design expertise with a strong interaction design portfolio
  • Rapid prototyping skills across multiple fidelity levels
  • Experience building and evolving design systems and component libraries
  • Ability to partner with Product, Discovery, and Engineering teams
Preferred Skills
