Job description

Aquinas Consulting is looking to fill a Fire Protection Engineer job in Mount Morris, MI. If you have 5+ years of fire sprinkler design experience, a PE license or NICET Certification, and hands-on proficiency with AutoSPRINK, this could be a great fit.

Fire Protection Engineer Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and hydraulically calculate complete sprinkler and standpipe systems using AutoSPRINK software
  • Determine design criteria for various design/build and plan/spec projects
  • Review, comment, and approve fire protection plans and calculations of company designers
  • Coordinate design with other building trades and manage 3D BIM coordination using Navisworks and Revizto
  • Seal and sign fire protection plans and calculations for self-designed and reviewed projects
  • Communicate with project managers and internal teams to ensure all client and company specifications are met

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of fire sprinkler design experience
  • Fire Protection PE license or NICET Certification required; NCEES Record and willingness to apply for additional state licenses
  • Thorough knowledge of NFPA standards and codes, government fire safety standards, and FM Global Datasheets
  • Proficiency in AutoSPRINK, Navisworks, Revizto, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience performing hydraulic calculations and 3D BIM coordination
  • Valid driver's license required
