Federal Advanced Support Engineer - Remote
Job Description
As an FFI Advanced Support Engineer, you will be delivering technical support for our US Federal customers. This is a superb opportunity to learn all aspects of Fortinet products in an innovative, fast-paced environment while expanding your knowledge and developing your skills in network security.
Job Responsibilities
โข Collection, analysis, and change recommendations of configuration information
โข Collection and analysis of customer network information
โข Collection and analysis of packet trace information
โข Recommend actions based on analysis
โข Customer education (gaps in networking, product knowledge etc)
โข Reproduction of customer environments on lab equipment
โข Follow up technical cases and manage the right expectation until the closure of the cases
โข Work closely and provide direct technical email and phone support to FFI customers
โข Develop best practice deployment and troubleshooting methodology documentation.
โข Analysis of support request, completion of requests for information and documentation
โข Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
โข Participate in an on-call rotation to support FFI customer outside of business hours
Job Skills Required
โข Minimum of two years relevant professional experience preferably in the network industry
โข Strong network security and routing experiences
โข Scripting and Windows server app experience
โข Exceptional customer service orientation and strong communications skills
โข Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
โข Asset to have Fortinet NSE 4 or 5, CCNA or CCNP
โข US Citizenship is required
Educational Requirements
โข Bachelors degree and/or relevant experience
Salary Range/On Target Earnings: $77,400 - $110,600
