Adfinitas Health has a Full Time opening for a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our Hospitalist team at University of Maryland Capital Region in Largo, Maryland.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our hospitalist team provides inpatient internal medicine care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds and planning for discharge.

  • Follow all established policies for maintenance and signing of medical records.
  • Contribute to the achievement of department goals and adhere to policies, procedures, and quality and safety standards.
  • Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed.

POSITION DETAILS

  • Our hospitalist team provides inpatient care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds, and planning for discharge.
  • Heart & Vascular Institute with dedicated cardiac intensive care unit
  • Designated Stroke Center
  • Level II Trauma Center
  • 2 Helipads including one large enough to accommodate Marine One
  • 205 licensed beds in private rooms
  • 32 Bed intensive care unit
  • Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residency programs
  • Must have a Minimum of 18 months acute experience as an advanced practice provider in hospitalist or similar position. Must also be a graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program and carry an active Maryland state license, American Heart Association CPR Certification, DEA License, state Controlled Substance Registration


REQUIREMENTS

  • 1+ years acute inpatient experience as an advanced practice provider
  • Strong inpatient skill set
  • Quality-focused team player
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
  • Active license, American Heart Association CPR Certification, DEA License, state Controlled Substance Registration, BLS and ACLS
  • Salary Range: $120k - $140k
