Job description

Brooklyn, NY | Full-Time | Immediate Start | $50–$60/hour

We are a growing, patient-focused compounding pharmacy in Brooklyn, NY, seeking a licensed Pharmacist (PharmD) to join our team.

We also encourage qualified candidates who are currently in the process of obtaining their New York State Pharmacist License and hold a valid New York State Pharmacy Intern Permit to apply.

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist or pharmacy graduate who wants to build expertise in compounding, clinical pharmacy, patient care, quality assurance, and formulation development.

What You'll Do

  • Verify prescriptions and ensure accurate, safe medication preparation
  • Participate in non-sterile and/or sterile compounding activities, based on training and experience
  • Provide medication consultations to patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Review formulations, ingredients, dosing, and potential drug interactions
  • Follow established procedures and protocols to ensure medication quality and patient safety
  • Maintain compliance with applicable New York State pharmacy regulations and USP standards
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with staff training and development
  • Contribute to formulation development, R&D, and process improvement projects
  • Work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, prescribers, and other members of the healthcare team


What We're Looking For

Required

  • PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree
  • Active New York State Pharmacist License or New York State Pharmacy Intern Permit
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn and develop expertise in pharmaceutical compounding

Preferred — But Not Required

  • Previous compounding pharmacy experience
  • Familiarity with USP <795> and/or USP <797>
  • Experience with non-sterile compounding
  • Experience with PrimeRx or other pharmacy management systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, or CPT coding
  • Experience with quality assurance, formulation development, or pharmacy operations
  • Compounding experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
