We are building a best-in-class marketing function to support our growth as a mid-market specialist and trusted operational partner to fund managers worldwide.
The Role
NAV is seeking a hands-on, highly organized Event Marketing Senior Manager to plan and execute event and conference strategy as a core marketing channel. This role owns the end-to-end planning, execution, measurement, and continuous improvement of NAV's events program, including NAV-hosted events, partner events, industry conferences, and smaller client engagements. The role is a logistics operator, relationship builder, and revenue driver.
The Event Marketing Senior Manager works closely with Marketing, Sales, and external partners to generate qualified leads, build event-sourced pipelines, deepen client relationships, and strengthen NAV's presence in the alternative investment community.
Key Responsibilities
  • NAV-hosted Events: Plan, produce, and execute NAV-hosted events across formats -receptions, seated dinners, panels, golf outings - in key markets including New York, Chicago, and emerging locations (DC, West Coast).
  • Partner Events: Manage co-hosted events with audit firms, law firms, Outsourced CFO firms, and prime brokers. Own the partner relationship for event logistics, guest lists, and co-branding.
  • Conference Strategy: In partnership with Marketing and Sales, evaluate and prioritize NAV's participation in industry conferences based on target audiences, strategic alignment, lead-generation potential, and expected ROI. Manage logistics, speaking opportunities, and on-site staff.
  • Pipeline & Revenue Accountability: Track event-sourced leads and conversions. Build and maintain attendance details to report on event ROI.
  • Outreach & Audience Development: Build targeted invite lists, manage outreach campaigns for event attendance, and develop strategies to attract new attendees. Drive registrations with the marketing and email teams.
  • Event Segmentation: Develop segment-specific event programming across NAV's core verticals - hedge funds, digital asset funds, private credit/PE - that is tailored to the audience's seniority and interests.
  • Vendor & Venue Management: Source and manage venues, caterers, AV, signage, swag, and all third-party vendors. Negotiate contracts and manage event budgets.
  • Flagship Event Development: Partner with the Senior VP of Marketing to conceptualize and launch NAV's signature annual event and, build on precedent set by prior company-hosted gatherings.
  • CRM & Data Hygiene: Ensure event data flows back into the CRM - attendance records, lead status, and follow-up actions. Partner with sales operations to close data gaps around client geography and event history.

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in B2B event marketing, ideally within financial services, fund administration, banking, fintech, or professional services.
  • Proven track record of planning and executing multi-format events with measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience managing partner and co-sponsor relationships with professional services firms, audit, legal, prime brokerage are preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with event marketing platforms, CRM systems, and marketing automation tools to manage attendee data, support event campaigns, and track event-sourced pipeline and ROI
  • Willingness and availability to travel 30-40% to support events across the United States, with occasional international travel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong project management skills and experience managing multiple events simultaneously in different planning stages.
  • Highly organized with sharp attention to detail on logistics, timelines, budgets, and vendor contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience managing competing priorities independently, communicating progress clearly, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to draft event copy, partner outreach emails, and executive briefing materials.

Nice to Have Qualifications
  • Experience in the hedge fund, private equity, or alternative investments community; understanding of the fund lifecycle, key service providers, and industry events calendar.
  • Existing relationships with event venues, vendors, or industry organizations in New York, Chicago, or the Cayman Islands.
  • Experience with matched-meeting or curated networking platforms, e.g., iConnections, Bymark formats.
  • Background in or exposure to institutional investor events, e.g., endowments, pensions, family offices.
  • Experience building an events function from scratch or significantly scaling an early-stage program.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base Salary range $100,000 - $120,000, depending a relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
