Job description

Prime Meats is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Recruiter to support hiring across our growing, multi-site meat processing and distribution organization. In this high-impact role, you will partner directly with plant leaders and hiring managers to recruit hourly production employees, maintenance technicians, drivers, production supervisors, and other critical manufacturing talent.

We're looking for a proactive, full-cycle recruiter who understands food and meat manufacturing, knows how to find difficult-to-reach candidates, and can move hiring processes forward with urgency, organization, and sound judgment.

  • Multi-site/Full time
  • Salary range: $65,000 to $75,000 + Annual Bonus: $5,000.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting from requisition intake through offer acceptance and onboarding coordination
  • Partner with hiring managers and plant leadership to understand staffing needs, hiring priorities, and position requirements
  • Recruit for hourly production, warehouse, maintenance, transportation, plant leadership, and professional positions across Prime Meats' plants and distribution centers
  • Generate a consistent and sufficient flow of qualified candidates to support hiring demand, maintain momentum throughout the selection process, and meet staffing goals for assigned positions
  • Create, segment, and maintain ready-to-engage candidate pools by role, location, skill set, and hiring priority to support current openings and anticipated workforce needs
  • Source candidates through Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, direct outreach, referrals, networking, trade and driving schools, community partnerships, job fairs, driver communities, veteran hiring organizations, and other creative channels
  • Review resumes, conduct phone interviews, and assess candidates for technical qualifications, reliability, coachability, safety mindset, and overall fit
  • Present qualified candidates with clear interview recommendations and assessment notes
  • Coordinate interviews, gather hiring manager feedback, and maintain momentum throughout the hiring process
  • Provide timely, professional communication to candidates at every stage
  • Coordinate background checks, employment verifications, drug screenings, DOT/CDL qualification requirements, and other pre-employment requirements
  • Maintain accurate applicant tracking system (ATS) records and recruiting documentation
  • Track recruiting activity, pipeline health, time-to-fill, offer acceptance, source effectiveness, and other key hiring metrics
  • Meet established weekly and monthly recruiting targets, including qualified candidate submissions, interviews, offers, hires, pipeline coverage, and time-to-fill expectations
  • Identify recruiting bottlenecks and recommend improvements that increase hiring speed and candidate quality
  • Monitor local labor markets, wage trends, competitor hiring activity, and talent availability across Prime Meats' Eastern U.S. footprint
  • Support recruiting events, workforce development partnerships, and employer-branding initiatives as needed
  • Ensure recruiting practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.

What We're Looking For:

At least three years of full-cycle recruiting experience

Experience recruiting within food/meat manufacturing or industrial operations

Proven success recruiting both hourly employees and salaried professionals

Strong sourcing skills using Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, referrals, networking, direct outreach, and other recruiting tools

Experience recruiting for both CDL and non-CDL positions across multiple states, with particular strength in East Coast hiring markets

Ability to manage multiple open positions and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong interviewing, candidate assessment, and hiring manager partnership skills

Excellent communication, organization, follow-through, and time management

Experience using applicant tracking systems and maintaining accurate recruiting data

Experience using AI-powered talent acquisition tools for sourcing, screening, and candidate engagement

Knowledge of employment laws, compliant hiring practices, and pre-employment screening processes, including DOT/CDL requirements

Professional fluency in English and Spanish is required because this position regularly communicates with candidates and employees in both languages

Preferred Experience:

  • Recruiting for multi-site meat processing or food manufacturing operations
  • Recruiting CDL drivers, maintenance technicians, production supervisors, or manufacturing leaders
  • Supporting high-volume hourly hiring
  • Building partnerships with technical schools, driving schools, workforce development organizations, veteran hiring programs, and community recruiting resources
  • SHRM, HRCI, AIRS, or related recruiting certification
