Position Overview
Prime Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Primary Care Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) to join an established outpatient practice in Rumford, Maine. This is an excellent opportunity to practice outpatient-only primary care in a supportive, community-focused environment while being part of a growing healthcare network.
Physicians will provide comprehensive care to adult and family medicine patients while collaborating with specialists and hospital-based providers within the Central Maine Healthcare system.

About Us
Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic primary care
  • Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease
  • Conduct routine physical exams and wellness visits
  • Coordinate care with specialists and hospital services
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
  • Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Eligible for Maine medical licensure
  • DEA certification or eligibility
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork

Pay Transparency
Rumford Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $271,000 to $308,000. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
