Job Description
The Transfer Pricing Analyst will report to the Transfer Pricing Manager within NOV's Corporate Tax Department. This role will support the development, implementation, documentation, analysis, and defense of NOV's transfer pricing policies and related tax initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze financial statement details and prepare periodic calculations of proposed transfer pricing adjustments to ensure that material intercompany transactions are at arm's length.
  • Prepare intercompany management fee, royalty, and other calculations and related invoices. Draft and maintain intercompany agreements and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in evaluating current transfer pricing policies to ensure alignment with business objectives, tax compliance requirements, and global transfer pricing regulations; propose changes as necessary under the direction of the Transfer Pricing Manager and Senior Analyst.
  • Prepare and/or coordinate with external service providers on transfer pricing documentation reports and other compliance deliverables in accordance with the U.S. and foreign jurisdiction requirements and the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines.
  • Assist in reviewing benchmarking studies and economic analyses to support transfer pricing policies, intercompany transactions, and compliance requirements.
  • Support the preparation and analysis of NOV's Country-by-Country (CbC) Report in the U.S. and other applicable jurisdictions.
  • Prepare questionnaires and data requests to gather necessary financial and operational information from business segments; participate in business interviews and cross-functional discussions to support transfer pricing analyses and documentation updates.
  • Assist with transfer pricing audit support, including preparation of responses to tax authority notices, audits, and information requests.
  • Communicate professionally with global operational personnel, finance teams, and external advisors.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Transfer Pricing Manager and Senior Analyst on project status, timelines, and deliverables to ensure deadlines and objectives are achieved.
  • Participate actively in ongoing training and developmental opportunities to further enhance transfer pricing knowledge and application.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • 0-3 years of experience in transfer pricing, tax, accounting, financial analysis, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, including experience working with large datasets and complex financial models.
  • Experience with Corptax or similar tax software preferred; familiarity with Alteryx, Oracle EPM, or other data analytics/reporting tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and research skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across global business functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in an effective, independent, and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop technical expertise in transfer pricing.
