Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains all aspects and cleanness of building exterior including garbage and recycling bins throughout the campus twice daily.
  • Responsible for trouble shooting and minor repairs throughout the entire hotel and campus, to include minor plumbing, electrical, industrial kitchen equipment and HVAC systems.
  • Previous experience in construction, painting, staining and sheet rock repair.
  • Previous experience working with pool and spa equipment function, testing chemicals and operations.
  • Must have experience in completing preventive maintenance on industrial kitchen equipment, commercial laundry, HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
  • Must have knowledge in the operation and functions of all types of power tools including drills, power saws, pressure washers and tools required to use by hands.
  • Must be able to recognize and provide actions needed to make sure all guest/staff environments are free of any hazards that might cause harm to any person at any time.
  • Must have experience or knowledge in the operations of electronic controlled HVAC, electrical and life safety equipment.
  • Must have knowledge of life safety equipment, fire alarms, wet/dry fire prevention systems and back up emergency generators.
  • Must be able to track and maintain all required daily operations documentation and work orders.

Job Skills/Requirements/Qualifications

  • Must be able to self-manage daily work orders with a science of urgency for proper department communication.
  • Will need to have basic computer skills for communication for proper use of electronic work order system.
  • Must be able to work in outdoor conditions for long period of times.
  • Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds a day for special projects and job duties.
  • Must be willing to acquire pool/spa certification for proper testing and equipment function within one (1) year of hire.
  • Have an enthusiastic, positive demeanor and desire to provide exceptional guest services.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all staff, guest, contractors and delivery drivers.
  • Ability to calculate figures as needed and ability to read a tape measure.
  • Experience and knowledge in the operation and use of a multimeter tester for electrical testing and inspecting equipment
  • Musty have knowledge of understanding how to read blue prints.

Education/Experience/Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree [GED]; three (3) or more years of previous experience in a related field of work.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle records check.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Position requires both indoors and outdoors work in a variety of weather and temperature conditions for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, tug, reach and stretch as the job dictates.
  • Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays.
