Job Summary
Independently performs EEGs, evoked potentials, complex NCS, and routine neurosurgical intraoperative monitoring.
What you will do
  • Performs routine, ambulatory, long term, critical care, and other EEG exams for patients of all ages
  • Performs all modalities of evoked potential recordings as outlined by laboratory protocols • Visual evoked potentials • Brainstem auditory evoked potentials • Somatosensory evoked potentials (median, posterior tibial, special studies as needed)
  • Performs NCS • Routine NCS of upper and lower extremities • Non-routine studies of upper and lower extremities (suprascapular, musculocutaneous, Tarsal Tunnel work up, etc.) • RNS • Knowledge of factors affecting evoked potentials and NCS assessment (age, visual acuity, hearing threshold, height, limb temperature)
  • Records clearly identifiable responses with replication. Identifies and corrects artifacts
  • Identifies and labels latencies and amplitudes of obligate waveforms.
  • Performs routine neurosurgical intraoperative monitoring • Lumbar and cervical EMG monitoring • Screw stimulation • SSEP and MEP monitoring • Knowledge of anesthesia effect on waveforms • Develops good rapport with neurosurgical team
  • Trains in advanced intra-operative monitoring procedures
  • Participates in continuing education. Oversees level I technologists
  • Demonstrates a commitment to Prevea Health's mission, vision, and strategic goals

Education Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited neurodiagnostics program by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. Required

Experience Qualifications
  • 1-3 years At least 2 years of experience in neurodiagnostics. Required

Licenses and Certifications
  • Registered in EEG through ABRET, registered or registry eligible in EP, CNIM, and/or NCS. Upon Hire Required
