Job description

Dietician- UW/Prevea Peds Specialties


This position will work approximately 8-16 hours per week

Job Summary
The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) advances Prevea's Population Health and Wellbeing initiatives by providing evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle counseling to patients and corporate wellness clients. This role promotes sustainable behavior change and whole-person health through individualized coaching, group education, and collaboration with care teams and corporate partners to prevent and manage chronic conditions, improve wellbeing, and enhance overall health outcomes.
What you will do

  • Population Health & Wellbeing: Provide one-on-one nutrition and lifestyle counseling through programs like Prescription for Wellness and Corporate Wellness. Conduct comprehensive assessments and create individualized care plans aligned with patient goals and provider recommendations. Use medical nutrition therapy and behavior change techniques to support prevention and management of chronic diseases. Build trusting relationships through consistent communication, motivation, and accountability. Educate and guide patients in developing healthy habits that improve physical and emotional wellbeing. Deliver evidence-based tools and resources for informed nutrition and lifestyle choices.
  • Corporate Health & Wellness Partnerships: Design and deliver tailored Healthy Lifestyle Programs for corporate partners. Provide individual and group nutrition counseling using motivational interviewing. Facilitate engaging group sessions on nutrition, weight management, and disease prevention. Develop and present educational workshops to promote proactive health management. Advise wellness committees on strategies that improve employee health and engagement. Partner with organizations to foster a culture of wellbeing and recognition of healthy habits.
  • Team Collaboration & Department Support: Work with providers, nurses, and wellness specialists to deliver coordinated nutrition support. Collaborate with other staff to update educational materials and resources. Lead classes and workshops on prevention, nutrition, and lifestyle management. Stay current on wellness and nutrition trends and integrate best practices into programs. Support onboarding and training of new team members. Represent Prevea at community wellness events as a trusted nutrition expert. Maintain proficiency in EMR systems and wellness technology platforms for accurate, compliant documentation.

Experience Qualifications

  • 3-5 years Experience in the Health & Wellness Area Preferred
  • Experience in Pediatric Nutrition Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • Registered Dietitian through Commission on Dietetic Registration with current Wisconsin Certification or RD-eligible with expected achievement of RD status and Wisconsin Certification within 90 days of hire. within 90 Days Required
  • CPR/Basic Life support for Healthcare Providers certification from approved program Upon Hire Required
