Position Overview

Prevail Physical Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Charlottesville, Virginia. Work Environment

The position is onsite at our state-of-the-art facility, where you will work closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals dedicated to patient recovery. Our clinic operates from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule while enabling you to deliver focused, continuous care to your patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals and establish individualized treatment plans based on their unique needs.
• Maintain a patient load that allows individualized attention, typically at one patient per hour, to monitor progress and adjust treatment methodologies effectively.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients’ mobility, strength, and overall function in a cost-effective manner.
• Utilize various treatment techniques, including massage, stretching, and therapeutic exercise, to address patient-specific challenges.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress thoroughly to ensure continuity of care and compliance with industry standards.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, working alongside physicians, occupational therapists, and other specialists to optimize patient recovery pathways.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process, promoting a proactive approach towards recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise will play a critical role in guiding these individuals towards achieving their functional goals and resuming their daily activities with confidence and strength. You will focus on providing a holistic approach, considering not just the physical aspects of rehabilitation but also emotional and motivational support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program preferred.
• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• No current or past board actions or disciplinary measures against your license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing effective exercise prescriptions for patients.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, and ability to utilize them efficiently to document patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with tailoring fitness and wellness programs to fit individual patient needs.
• Prior experience in a home care setting is a plus, given our commitment to mobility and functionality in patients' own environments.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
