Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman is seeking to hire a 4th-5th year associate to join the Litigation practice group in the Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, along with exceptional research, analytical, oral advocacy, and writing skills. The associate must have experience handling and managing all aspects of litigation, including fact investigation, pleadings, discovery, experts, motions, pretrial proceedings, trial, settlement, and related matters, as well as developing and maintaining strong business and client relationships.

The successful candidate will have significant experience across all phases of discovery, including preparing witnesses for depositions, drafting complaints, answers, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements, and managing the filing and service of pleadings. The ability to work effectively under pressure, deliver high-quality work product, and manage junior attorneys to meet deadlines is essential.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school with excellent academic credentials and be a member of the California State Bar in good standing. All inquiries will be held in strict confidence.

The California pay range for this role is $310,000-$365,000, with the final offer amount dependent on the candidate's skills and experience.

Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for the position in accordance with the California Fair Chance Act.
