Job Summary:
- Provide field support for HVAC equipment, including coordinating and conducting site visits and follow-up communications with customers.
- Travel to job sites to commission new equipment and assess the operation of previously installed systems.
- Generate accurate and timely reports documenting field findings, activities, and required documentation.
- Interact with customers, field personnel, representative agencies, and engineering teams to assess and resolve technical issues.
- Provide on-site direction to personnel for product rework or setup.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of company products, features, and benefits.
- Possess strong technical skills in HVAC concepts, including refrigeration, controls, and the installation of chillers and water source heat pumps.
- Interpret equipment electrical drawings and diagrams.
- Utilize laptops and technology for documentation, service software, and reporting.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations, codes, company policies, and promote mutual respect in the work environment.
- Remain calm and professional in high-pressure or tense situations.
- Provide technical support over the phone, supporting multiple product lines, gathering information, and troubleshooting issues to resolution.
- Minimum education: AS/BS degree preferred or completion of HVAC trade school.
- Minimum 8 years of commercial HVAC and chiller experience required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- EPA Section 608 Universal Refrigerant Handling Certification required (or obtainable within 90 days); HVAC license preferred.
