Job Summary (List Format) – Sourcing Manager
- Develop and manage a supply base to provide best value, highest quality, and lowest total cost supply chain solutions.
- Support business strategy for sustainable competitive advantage and client reputation as a quality and technology leader.
- Lead initiatives to improve cost and supply conditions, focusing on lead times, quality, delivery, payment terms, and other key metrics.
- Ensure supplier materials meet the client’s standards for quality, safety, and functionality to guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Manage the sourcing process to achieve cost savings targets.
- Report monthly procurement metrics.
- Conduct supplier qualifications and evaluations in collaboration with the Quality department.
- Ensure vendor invoicing aligns with agreements.
- Source and compare supplier quotations for price, specifications, and delivery to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare, confirm, and distribute purchase orders, maintaining transaction records in the MRP system.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, files, reports, product information, and price lists.
- Identify and discuss sourcing improvement opportunities in staff meetings.
- Maintain up-to-date supplier information.
- Travel as required, potentially exceeding 50% and including international trips.
- Requires a BA in Supply Chain Management or a related field, or 5+ years of experience in direct material cost reduction.
