2 week assignment from 8/24-9/4 2nd shift: Monday-Thursday 3pm-1:30am

About the Role

Join the Dion Label team for a high-priority, 2-week project assisting our printing press operators! We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Pressroom Assistant to support a specific label production run. Your core focus will be precision quality control—catching, counting, sorting, and packaging high volumes of custom labels to ensure exact order quantities and top-tier product quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Catching & Counting: Carefully inspect labels as they come off the line, ensuring accurate counts and defect-free output.

  • Sorting & Stacking: Sort finished label rolls/sheets according to job specifications and batch quantities.

  • Quantity Verification: Double-check label counts against production orders to guarantee correct delivery totals.

  • Pressroom Support: Assist press operators with material handling, clearing waste, and keeping the immediate workspace organized.

  • Staging & Prep: Help package, label, and stage finished orders for the finishing and shipping departments.

  • Safety & Standards: Maintain a clean workspace and follow all safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Qualifications & Physical Demands
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Math & Detail Focus: Strong basic math skills for precise counting, measuring, and verification.

  • Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and capable of maintaining focus during fast-paced production runs.

  • Physical Requirements: * Ability to stand for the majority of the shift.

    • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 25 lbs occasionally.

    • Good visual acuity (close vision, color perception) to spot label flaws.

  • Teamwork: Positive attitude with the ability to take direction well from lead press operators.
