Job description

Job Summary:

This is not an entry-level role. We are seeking a highly skilled operator who can independently program, set up, and run Press Brake with minimal supervision. We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced press brake operator. This position is responsible for the daily set up and operation of the press brake. 

Experience:

  • Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
  • Working knowledge of fabrication and press brake operations including basic set up.
  • Good competency in basic shop math
  • Strong sheet metal forming skills and fabrication background in a manufacturing environment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Select correct tooling, load, se-up and operate press brake
  • Interpret and utilize engineering drawings and work order instructions
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers and tape measures
  • Perform equipment preventative maintenance at operator level
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Physical requirements:

  • Lift, carry push and pull up to 50 Ilbs
  • Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently
  • Sit, stand and walk for 1-10 hours per day
  • Ability to work in a non climate controlled environment
