Position Overview

Client Office of the President is seeking an experienced and highly organized Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff to provide executive-level administrative and operational support from July 2026 through approximately May 2027.

Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, this high-profile role will support the daily operations of the Office of the President and work closely with Executive Team members to coordinate high-priority initiatives, executive communications, scheduling, and stakeholder engagement activities.

The ideal candidate is a proactive professional with exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills who can manage multiple competing priorities with discretion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff will:

  • Support Executive Team members in preparing the President & CEO for internal and external meetings, presentations, and events
  • Coordinate and manage high-priority initiatives and executive action items
  • Manage deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on deliverables and requests
  • Assist with day-to-day operations on behalf of the President & CEO
  • Coordinate Executive Team meetings and maintain related documentation and files
  • Review, prioritize, and triage incoming requests and correspondence
  • Draft and manage communications with key stakeholders, including:
    • Governor’s Office
    • Board members
    • Oversight entities
    • External constituencies
  • Ensure communications are accurate, timely, high-quality, and aligned with organizational messaging
  • Perform additional duties that support the mission and operational goals of CLIENT.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent written communication and drafting abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced executive environment
  • Strong project management and coordination capabilities
  • Experience supporting senior executives or Executive Team members

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of New York State energy systems
  • Experience within the clean energy industry
  • Project management certification such as:
    • Certified associate in project management (CAPM)
    • Project Management Professional (PMP)

Education Requirements

  • Education and experience commensurate with a bachelor’s degree
