Job description

We are hiring an IT Operations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the IT Operations team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality on site (office, warehouse, plant) IT support services across the organization. You will partner with the Cloud & Infrastructure Platform Owners to develop a future roadmap and strategy for the IT Operations service delivery and will act as an interaction point with the Technology Value Stream Product Owners to maintain and enhance service quality.
Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the On-Site IT Operations support vision, future roadmap, and strategy to achieve greater efficiency and service quality.
  • Build and manage relationships with key business stakeholders across Glanbia facilities worldwide on IT technical services.
  • Manage the on-site IT support teams, including On-site IT Operations Leads, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Collaborate with Technology Value Stream Product Owners, Technology Service Platform Owners, and Managed Service Providers t(BT, Verizon, DXC, Ergo etc) to align support services and project delivery with business needs and objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the On-site IT Operations team, ensuring adherence to internal service level agreements (SLAs) and organizational standards.
  • Act as the ultimate escalation point for issues related to on-site IT support, to drive timely resolution of issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and efficiency of On-site IT support services.
  • Provide direct line management for 3 IT Operations leads, including assignment of work where necessary, coaching, mentoring, and guiding professional development
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, technical standards, security standards, and regulatory requirements in all on-site support activities. Support the IT Operations teams with audit-related information gathering activities.
  • Prepare and present reports on service performance, team metrics, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
  • Prepare, present and manage opex and capex budgets for on-site IT services.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in IT support to drive innovation and service excellence.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in IT support or service management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing and mentoring IT support teams, with a focus on on-site support for Datacenters, office environments, and end-user technology.
  • Familiarity with IT security, compliance, and governance requirements.
  • Experience with Agile or other project management methodologies is a plus.
