Job description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Assembly Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for completing all pipe, vessel, and structural assembly tasks required to build fully functional process equipment units for client delivery.
This position plays a key role in mechanically assembling equipment, performing pressure tests, and ensuring all completed units meet engineering specifications, production timelines, and GasTech quality standards. Our goal is to deliver the highest-quality process equipment in the industry-and we're looking for team members who take pride in helping us achieve that.
A Assembly Technician is expected to:
  • Fully complete all piping spool fit-ups and assemblies
  • Perform all hydro and pneumatic pressure testing
  • Assemble all vessel internals and external accessories
  • Prepare equipment for shipment with full accuracy
  • Cut and prep all required pipe and structural components
  • Load and unload equipment independently
  • Read drawings and P&IDs with strong proficiency
  • Have full knowledge of valves, fittings, instruments, and quality requirements
  • Work quickly while maintaining accuracy
  • Maintain top-tier housekeeping and safety practices
  • Demonstrate strong decision-making skills
  • Show some leadership ability and planning skills

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong proficiency in pipe and structural assembly within pressure piping and process vessel manufacturing
  • Demonstrated mechanical and piping aptitude with experience appropriate to the role
  • Vocational welding training preferred
  • Familiarity with ASME/ANSI Piping Codes preferred
  • Ability to maintain integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Working knowledge of shop processes, materials, equipment, and assembly tools strongly encouraged
