Piglatin Cocina is currently looking for Cooks. Job duties include operating the grill station, fry station, assembly and dishwasher. Must have organizational skills, ability to follow instructions, attention to detail, and ability to function very well under pressure. We are a high volume kitchen so excellent teamwork is a must.


Position: Cook

Salary: $15.50 + tips Per Hour

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of Latin inspired dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety and quality of our food
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients
  • Ensure that all dishes are cooked to perfection and presented in an attractive and appetizing manner
  • Collaborate with other members of the kitchen team to ensure that orders are completed quickly and efficiently
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils, as well as the work area, to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
  • Assist in the development of specials, as well as the creation of prep lists and par levels
  • Continuously seek out ways to improve our dishes, processes, and customer experience


Qualifications:

  • A passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in the culinary industry
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety and sanitation standards
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
