Capability Product Manager III
As a Product Manager, you will be the bridge between Premera's customers, business partners, and development teams. You are responsible for managing and maintaining products throughout their lifecycle, from launch through retirement. Supporting business strategies and understanding customer problems to lead Product Owners in the delivery of product features for products and/or capabilities to achieve Premera's strategic objectives.
This is a hybrid role, located on our campus in Mountlake Terrace, Washington.
What You'll Do
  • Own and drive the direction of assigned products or capabilities, including defining and maintaining roadmaps for one or more low-complexity products or capabilities aligned with enterprise strategy
  • Balance and prioritize feature needs and roadmap commitments, partnering closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to align on scope, sequencing, and tradeoffs
  • Lead the definition and management of business requirements, process design, and related deliverables, leveraging enterprise tools and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with peers, managers, and directors across the enterprise to gather input, align priorities, and ensure outcomes support broader organizational goals
  • Define success criteria and business metrics, track results, and provide insights and recommendations to inform future decisions
  • Communicate progress against roadmaps and outcomes to leadership, business partners, and technology teams
  • Champion a customer-focused mindset, ensuring customer experience considerations inform product decisions
  • Partner with stakeholders on change management and training strategies to drive successful adoption of new tools and processes
  • Serve as a mentor and coach for Product Owners
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or three (3) years of relevant work experience
  • Three (3) years of experience in product management, system development, or Scrum/Agile delivery, supporting enterprise-level objectives

Preferred Qualifications
  • Product management experience in healthcare, financial services, or another highly regulated industry
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate strategy into actionable plans and roadmaps
  • Proven ability to build alignment and consensus among diverse stakeholder groups

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated potential to manage, mentor, and develop others
  • General understanding of health insurance functions, including actuarial, underwriting, contracting, marketing, sales, eligibility, billing, and claims
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize work and communicate outcomes clearly
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams and disciplines
  • Experience facilitating meetings, driving decisions, and delivering results on time
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create and present materials to varied audiences
  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly, evaluate alternatives, and support informed decision-making
  • Working knowledge of common business and productivity tools, including document creation, data management, project tracking, spreadsheets, and presentations

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.
The salary range for this role is posted below; we generally target up to and around the midpoint of the range.
National Plus Salary Range:
$111,900.00 - $190,200.00
*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
