Medical Assistant – Surgical Edge


Location: San Bernardino, CA


Are you a premedical or pre-physician assistant student looking to gain exceptional hands-on clinical experience in a busy, high-quality general surgery practice?


Surgical Edge is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant who is eager to learn and work directly with an experienced board-certified general and robotic surgeon. This is an outstanding opportunity for students planning careers in medicine or physician assistant studies who want meaningful patient interaction and exposure to both the clinic and the surgical world.


Responsibilities
  • Room patients and obtain vital signs
  • Document medical histories and update electronic medical records
  • Assist with in-office procedures
  • Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies
  • Coordinate referrals, imaging studies, and laboratory testing
  • Educate patients and assist with follow-up care
  • Collaborate with the physician and clinical staff to provide outstanding patient care
Qualifications
  • Premedical or pre-PA student strongly preferred
  • Spanish speaking highly preferred
  • 1 year minimum, ideally two years to dedicate to our practice is preferred
  • Medical Assistant certification is welcome but not required for the right candidate
